Learning to Color with Copic Markers

I have been learning to "blend" with Copics.  As you can see from this post, I don't blend very well yet.   I am sure you should not be able to see the line where one color ends and the next one begins.  I am posting this anyway as a way to measure my progress.

This card is my submission to the PPA Challenge #135.  Horay, I am finally back on track with some stamping.  I have not been participating since March.  My job got very busy and I got a new puppy on St. Patrick's day, so I have not had enough free time for stamping.

Here is the challenge sketch and my card:
PPA135

The cardstock is Stampin' Up! Old Olive, More Mustard and Close to Cocoa.  The DSP is also SU. The sunflower stamp is from Delta Creative.  I sponged the background with SU Old Olive.  The tiny little thank-you is from last year's sale-a-bration set, Happy Moments and the stamped lattice design is from this year's Fresh Vintage set, stamped with SU Cajun Craze.  I highlighted parts of the sunflower design with a Sakura  Clear Star Jelly Roll pen.  The sparkle may not show up in the photo.

I am getting raedy to host a Stampin' Up! New Catalog Open House on June 9th, noon to 4:00 PM.  Drop in anytime and participate in complimentary Make and Takes.  Try out the new SU ink pads in the new In Colors for 2012 - 2013.  The first five individuals to RSVP will receive a Free Catalog!
